Cancer Rehabilitation & Lymphatic Solutions Case Study

More than five years supporting the growth of a specialist allied health business

Reality Marketing has partnered with Cancer Rehabilitation & Lymphatic Solutions (CRLS) for more than five years, supporting the business through multiple stages of growth, service expansion, innovation and brand development.

CRLS is a specialist allied health practice dedicated to supporting people affected by cancer, lymphoedema and complex rehabilitation needs. When the relationship began, the practice already had a strong clinical reputation, but its marketing infrastructure was limited and growth was driven largely through referrals and word-of-mouth.

Over time, Reality Marketing has provided both strategic direction and ongoing implementation, helping CRLS build a more consistent marketing program while the business has expanded its team, services and wider rehabilitation offering.

A long-term relationship built around the needs of the business

The marketing relationship has developed alongside CRLS rather than being treated as a short-term campaign. As the practice has grown, Reality Marketing has continued to adapt the program to support new priorities and opportunities.

Our integrated approach has included strategic planning, SEO, content marketing, blogs, EDMs and eNewsletters, social media management, public relations, referrer engagement, Meta advertising and ongoing strategic business advice.

This broader approach is important for a specialist healthcare business where growth depends on more than a single channel. Digital visibility, professional credibility, referrer relationships, clear service communication and consistent brand activity all need to work together.

Building awareness beyond referrals and word-of-mouth

At the beginning of the partnership, CRLS had an opportunity to extend its visibility beyond the referral and word-of-mouth networks that had already supported the practice.

Reality Marketing helped develop a more structured marketing presence designed to increase brand awareness, strengthen online visibility and give patients, referrers and the wider healthcare community clearer access to information about the practice and its services.

Across the partnership, digital marketing campaigns have reached more than 350,000 people, delivered more than one million brand impressions and generated more than 17,000 website clicks.

Supporting patient acquisition through ongoing digital activity

Digital marketing has formed one part of the wider program, including ongoing Meta advertising alongside website, content and search activity.

From May 2025 to May 2026, the business recorded 505 new patient enquiries. The supplied case study also records consistent month-on-month growth in patient acquisition through Meta advertising.

These figures sit within a wider long-term marketing program rather than being presented as the result of one isolated campaign. The focus has been on maintaining visibility, communicating the services available and supporting the continued growth of the practice.

Referrer engagement and healthcare relationships

Referrer relationships have remained an important part of the marketing strategy. For a specialist allied health practice, maintaining awareness and communication across the healthcare sector is an important complement to patient-facing marketing.

Reality Marketing has supported CRLS with referrer engagement as part of the integrated program. Over the course of the partnership, the business has strengthened its referrer relationships across the healthcare sector.

Strengthening search visibility and website performance

SEO and content marketing have been ongoing parts of Reality Marketing’s support for CRLS. The aim has been to improve the visibility of the business online while also making the website a stronger source of information about the practice, its expertise and its expanding services.

Across the partnership, website traffic increased by more than four times. Blogs and other content have supported the broader marketing program, while ongoing SEO has helped strengthen the digital presence of the business as it has grown.

Public relations and building professional profile

Public relations has also been used to increase awareness of CRLS, its services and the expertise behind the business.

More than ten local media editorial features have been secured during the partnership. This activity has supported the broader goal of increasing recognition of CRLS and helping position founder and director Kate Perkins as a recognised authority in cancer rehabilitation and lymphoedema management.

Supporting service expansion and new opportunities

As CRLS has grown, the marketing program has also needed to support new services and business opportunities. Reality Marketing has assisted with the launch and promotion of more than five new services during the relationship.

Rather than treating each launch as a standalone activity, the new services have been supported within the wider CRLS marketing program, helping the business communicate an increasingly broad rehabilitation, recovery and wellness offering.

From CRLS to a broader rehabilitation and wellness offering

A major development during the relationship has been the expansion into Coastal Rehab Hub. Reality Marketing supported the launch and helped communicate the vision for a more comprehensive rehabilitation and wellness offering.

The expansion represents an important stage in the broader growth story: from a specialist practice into a business with a wider multidisciplinary rehabilitation, recovery and wellness focus.

Launching and positioning OncoLaser

Reality Marketing has also supported the successful launch and positioning of OncoLaser.

The supplied CRLS testimonial identifies this support as part of the wider partnership and notes Reality Marketing’s role in helping the business position itself around cancer rehabilitation, lymphoedema management and healthcare innovation.

Growth of the team and the business

Over the more than five-year partnership, CRLS has grown from a team of one to two clinicians into a multidisciplinary team of more than five professionals.

That growth has occurred alongside service expansion, increased marketing activity and the development of new brands and offerings. Reality Marketing’s role has been to keep the marketing program active and aligned as the business has moved through these different stages.
